What does accreditation mean to you as a patient?
Accreditation is essentially the refinement of our protocols to ensure your privacy and well being is at the forefront of our values.
We have strict protocols on document keeping, sterilisation and treatment processes. You can rest assured with the confidentiality of patient files and that all equipment follows infection control guidelines.
Our lab technician has worked alongside us for over 20 years and has always delivered quality work, made locally in Brisbane. You are guaranteed to have a TGA approved, Australian made crown. We never send our work overseas, as it does not come with any certification on the elements it is made with or the sterilisation procedures.

Will my health insurance cover the treatment?
Private health insurance will pay a percentage towards your dental treatment. We can claim directly to the health fund through our HICAPS terminal, so you only have to cover the gap. Every treatment and claim is different and the gap amount will depend on the policy you have with your fund.
I haven’t seen a dentist in years, can you help?
You are not alone. Many people avoid the dentist because they are embarrassed about the condition of their teeth. We are here to address these concerns and with our experience, we have seen everything. We will listen to your concerns, make sure you’re completely comfortable, and treat you with compassion and respect.
Can I get this done overseas for a lower cost?
With the introduction of ‘Medical Holidays,’ many people are contemplating the advantages & disadvantages of medical treatment overseas. The lower cost of living, different regulations and lower mandated standards mean that dentistry can be cheaper in some countries.
However, if you are considering travelling overseas for dental treatment, be mindful that there are some things to keep in mind while you decide:
- Professional certification
- Access to resources
- Health regulations and standards
- Sterilisation protocols
Built & Established in 1949 as a weekend dental practice and home for Dr Len Soden, Yeronga Park Dental changed hands only twice before Dr Christine Furness purchased in 1992.
Dr Furness sadly medically retired in 2012, completing her near 35 year long career in dentistry and having nurtured the practice for 20 years.
Following Dr Furness’ retirement, Yeronga Park Dental was fortunate enough to be placed in the hands of Dr Nicole Yuen, who continues to uphold the family values that Dr Furness introduced to the practice many years ago.
In July 2016, Yeronga Park Dental completed a transformation, introducing a new dental room and updated facilities. We were also very proud to introduce a new practitioners to our family, Dr Jenny Cunningham.
Yeronga Park Dental is very excited to continue to grow our practice with our wonderful patients.
