Dr Alexander Lai was born in Melbourne but spent most of his life on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, completing his schooling at Brisbane State High School.
He is a warm and gentle dentist who places patient comfort at the heart of his care. He creates a calm, welcoming environment where every visit feels relaxed and stress-free – perfect for anxious patients. With meticulous attention to detail, he is dedicated to delivering precise, high-quality treatment tailored to each individual’s needs.
Academic Achievements and Professional Journey
Alex completed his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Master of Dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, where he graduated with multiple academic excellence awards. He has since established himself in practices across Townsville, Brisbane, and regional Queensland, delivering comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of dental needs.
Advanced Training
As a proud member of the Australian Dental Association, he is committed to continual professional growth and keeps up to date with the latest techniques and advancements. He has completed further training in areas including clear aligner therapy and Happy Gas sedation to expand his skill set in general dentistry.
What He Loves
He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, where his love for both science and artistry come together to create confident smiles.
Outside the Clinic
Alex enjoys travelling, staying active at the gym, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
